On the occasion of 72nd Anniversary of Pakistan, HOM takes the pledge to make Pakistan greener by initiating the plantation of 72,000 trees nationwide.
The inauguration ceremony for this cause was held at HOM’s factory office, SITE, Karachi this Thursday, August 8th 2019, where the whole HOM family planted 100 trees as an initial step towards a greener Pakistan.
The event was attended by all the HOM stakeholders, media personnel and people from various business fraternities including Consul General of Malaysia Mr. Khair-ul-Nazran Abdul Rehman, Regional Manager Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) and Consul of Consulate General of Malaysia Mr. Johari Minal, Chairman Indus Hospital Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan Mr. Kokab Iqbal, SP SITE Area, Mr Zulfiqar, SSP Traffic Police Dr. Najeeb Khan.
The event started off with the recitation of Holy Qur’an and National Anthem followed by an inaugural note by Assistant Brand Manager, Ali Asghar, where he stated the purpose of this drive and why planting more trees is essential for Pakistan at this point and how this will help us fight climate change.
This was followed by speeches from Ms. Lubna Tawakkul, Sr. Manager HR, Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Khair-ul-Nazran Abdul Rehman and HOM’s Managing Director, Mr. Moidul Hassan respectively.
While talking to audience, Mr. Moidul Hassan stated how HOM is playing its role in making Pakistan greener by taking a small initial step by planting 100 trees at our factory and that HOM will always be helping anyone who wishes to plant trees by providing the said to achieve the targeted number of 72,000.
