Bombay Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Beef/chicken/mutton: 1Kg
  • Rice soaked: 1Kg
  • Yogurt (beaten): 1 1/2 cups
  • Onions: 5 Medium sized
  • Tomatoes: 1/2 Kg
  • Potatoes: 1/2 Kg
  • Ginger paste: 2tbsp
  • Garlic paste: 2tbsp
  • Green Chillies: 8 to 9
  • Coriander & Mint leaves (chopped): 4tbsp
  • Lemon Juice: 3 tbsp
  • Habib Cooking Oil / Banaspati: 1 1/4 cups
  • Habib Bombay Biryani Recipe Mix: 1 packet

Method:

1- Fry onion in Habib Cooking Oil / Banaspati till golden brown, then add meat, ginger, garlic and fry for 3-4 minutes. Add yogurt, tomatoes, potatoes, green chillies, Habib Bombay Biryani Recipe Mix and cook for10 to 15 minutes till meat gets tender and oil separates.

2- Boil the Rice in 9 to 10 glasses of water. Add 3 tbsp of salt. Boil till rice is half done.

3- In a separate pan, spread alternate layers of rice and meat curry along with fresh coriander and mint leaves and allow it to simmer for 10 – 15 minutes.

Serve hot with Raita and Salad.
